In a city that smells of coffee and rain, he and she meet... Banal? Apparently. This is roughly how most romance novels begin. And to put it another way: a green-haired student meets a mysterious stranger in modern Lviv, who easily makes girls fall in love with him, who cannot resist his magnetism. Moreover, he understands the language of the sky, commands clouds, rains, snowstorms. Because he's a hypocrite-chaser. If we add that the girl is not an ordinary reclusive girl, but a talented artist from a family of difficult people, it becomes clear that this novel is not only about love. It organically intertwines bitter mysticism, proto-Ukrainian beliefs, old magic of the mountains, Polish legends, the forgotten curse of the character and our reality, in which the patron saint of the city, St. Yuri, likes to walk on rooftops, pick pumpkin seeds and is convinced that love is stronger than fate.
