Henry Nowen is a world-renowned preacher, author of many famous books on spiritual topics, professor and pastor. He visited Ukraine twice - in 1993 and 1994.

These visits had a significant impact on the development of the "Faith and Light" and "Lyarsh" communities in Ukraine, on the support of people with disabilities, various lay initiatives and the identity of the Ukrainian Catholic University.

With his deep and moving thoughts about Ukraine, Fr. Henry Nouen shared in his "Ukrainian diaries", which today come to the reader thanks to Henry's father's brother - Laurent Nouen.
