Franklin the Dragon loves books, especially reading stories aloud, but everyone is too afraid to even talk to him. One day he meets a girl named Luna, who, instead of being afraid, is excited to meet Franklin, having recently read all about dragons in one of her books. They immediately become friends and constantly talk about what they read: books about roller skating, King Arthur, spiders and kung fu. Together, they want to share their love of books with others, so they open a bookstore—a flying bookstore—right on Franklin's back!
