About the book:

Prominent Ukrainian women of the 20th century often remain unnoticed. Someone may be hearing about the fate of some of the heroines of this book for the first time, but their role in Ukrainian history should not be underestimated. These are doctors, teachers, participants of the national liberation movement, political prisoners, journalists, soldiers, cultural figures... Without them - strong, active, devoted - the pages of our family would be completely different.
This book contains interviews, testimonies, archival documents and references about notable women of Ukraine - materials from the "Historical Truth" resource. Among them is a unique interview with Kvitka Tsysyk, and a conversation with the researcher of the women's movement Marta Bogachevska-Khomyak, and articles about the doctor of medicine Rozalia Lifshitsy-Vynnychenko, the prisoner Iryna Tymochka - "Christ", the writer Olena Teliga, as well as about Lesya- Ukrainian, mother of Heorhiy Gongadze.

About the author:

The compiler of the collection is Vakhtang Kipiani, a Ukrainian journalist, historian, editor-in-chief of the online publication "Historichna Pravda", compiler of the book "The Case of Vasyl Stus".
