"History.UA: Figures, Facts, Versions" by Yaroslav Faizulin is a collection of essays about famous people and important events of the 20th century. Together, they create a fascinating kaleidoscope of this seemingly closest to us, and at the same time the least known time, which is still hidden under the layer of Soviet myths.

Some of the heroes of this book, such as Simon Petlyura, Olena Teliga, Stepan Bandera, or Roman Shukhevich, are known from school textbooks, while others, such as Yuriy Tyutyunnyk, Mykhailo Omelyanovych-Pavlenko, Yuriy Gorlis-Gorskyi, Vasyl Lypkivskyi, Oleksa Tykhi, has yet to take its place in the national memory of Ukrainians.
