To kill in the memory of the humbled masses the idea for which the rebels sacrificed their young lives. Indeed, they shot, hanged, burned, destroyed - but whom? On their black combat flag is the inscription: "The will of Ukraine or death." They did not come out of the forest even when a foreign government reigned all around and there was no longer any hope of liberation. They - the survivors - chose death for themselves.
