Source and factual material presents the way of formation and use of Ukrainian traditional clothing from the earliest times to the beginning of the 20th century. The clothing complexes of all ethnographic regions of Ukraine are considered. For the first time, a brief description of the clothing of the Ukrainian elite, townspeople and workers is presented.
