Помру за Україну, але це не точно
This is a story about the betrayal of those closest to you and about the eternal choice that Ukrainians face again and again: what is more necessary for the Motherland — your life or your death?
Ukrainian patriot Orest, who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, is doomed to long torture in a Russian prison. The support of Zoreslava's daughter and the Kotygoroshko doll sent by her are all that save his spirit during trials. Businessman Lyosh is also behind bars, only in Ukraine, and realizes that his ambitions and talks about European integration are of no use to the jailers. Olya is a patriot and at the same time the communications director of a Russian bank in Ukraine, trying to save her career and image, but paying a terrible price for it. One of them must die for Ukraine. But it's not exactly...
The novel was written after long conversations with Ukrainian political prisoners and domestic human rights defenders, watching many hours of prison videos. The author hopes that this helped to give the text as much credibility as possible.
