It seems that after the powerful novel "Masyk", the collections "Photographer" and "Pytrovna", it is quite difficult to surprise the modern reader, but the writer raises the bar again. The language spoken by the characters conveys the whole flavor of the life and everyday life of the pictures described. Excursions into the historical past and folklore interspersions contribute to the visualization of what is depicted by the writer. The author managed to convey the psychological state of the characters so masterfully, their actions seem absolutely motivated and appealless. The reader seems to be close to the hero/heroes all the time, walks their path, plunges into their memories or dreams, feels their emotions (joy, pain, sadness, disappointment, etc.). Here one cannot help but recall another classic, our contemporary Lina Kostenko: "and every finish is, in fact, a start" - that is, this book in the hands of the reader, so encourages to write the next one.
