Леся Українка. Апокриф. Вибране. Чотири розмови про Лесю Українку
Lesya Ukrainka's complex and deeply dramatic relationship with Christianity, which forms the core of her mature work, has never been the subject of professional theological analysis. The Moscow synodal censorship banned the writer's works "for atheism", the Soviet communist one praised them "for atheism" and at the same time did not allow the same plays to be staged. Therefore, the meaning of the fierce "religious war" waged by the heroes of Lesya Ukrainka and herself with the official church remained closed to the reader. Until today, when the Primate of the UGCC Sviatoslav Shevchuk and the writer Oksana Zabuzhko met to exchange opinions about Lesya Ukrainka's works on stories from evangelical and early Christian history. The proposed publication contains recordings of four such conversations, as well as analyzed texts by Lesia Ukrainka in the author's edition.
