Christmas Star «Malanka»

Stars of this collection illustrate Ukrainian winter holidays; sewn from natural fabrics, filled with polyester, hand-painted by Ternopil artists using high-quality acrylic paints. Malanka is a Ukrainian folk holiday which is New Year's Eve in accordance with the Julian calendar. On this night in Ukraine, carolers traditionally went from house to house playing pranks or acting out a small play (similar to Vertep), with a bachelor dressed in women's clothing leading the troop. The collection of stars “From Roman to Jordan” in 2014 decorated a Christmas tree, which took the first place at the Parade of Christmas trees, which was held within the framework of the 15th International Exhibition of Gifts and Decoration in Kyiv.
